Dear Diary, We had a very few at church today. We had a good Spiritual Living Lesson, a fair testimony meeting. I enjoyed Johnnie's testimony. Its been good having them here. Little Joseph is such a joy. We ate at Church's fired chicken then went to the Hospital to see Ben. He's much better. Hazel looked good. She's getting some rest staying with him in the hospital. We stopped by Grey's, she was feeding the Elders. Bruce called this evening. He's making plans to come east and go to Fla. to look for work.

6-02-84

Dear Diary, We have had a nice day today. Tony and Marsha came down. Heber bar-b-qued some chickens. I potted some cuttings Cynthia had rooted and couldn't take. Johnnie, Sue, Henry and 2 youngest went to Randy's to pick up two sofas. Randy's family left for Utah at 2pm. The girls helped clean house a little. Mrs Dearmours brought Miss Sadie Watson over to visit a while this afternoon. The small girls put on a fashion show tonight.

6-01-84

Dear Dairy, We got up early and went to Randy's in Montg. today. We got there before Randy got there with the moving truck he rented. We all worked all day to get it packed. Cynthia ran lots of last minute errands. The girls and I went with her to her mom's grave to put flowers on it. Heber really was a help to get the truck packed good. Some church members came over in the evening to help out. We got home after 10pm pretty tired.

5-31-84

Dear Diary, We have made history today. We both made a will today at least we signed it. We went to the grand opening of our new Foodway Super Market. It is really an asset to the town of Marion. Large and beautiful, we were one of the first hundred customers so I received a long stemmed rose bud-pink. We went twice and got some bargains. I worked in the yard some. Heber cut the grass

5-30-84

Dear Diary, We are sure tired and sleepy but we are sure happy about Ben being better. We stopped by this morning on our way to Randy's in Montg to help him pack. He's moving to SLC Saturday. We brought his trailer home with us with some things in it. Since Randy and Heber were busy and dirty, Cynthia, Jenni, Laura and I went to Po Folks restaurant to eat and we really enjoyed it, so we brought Randy and Heber a nice dinner. I think they enjoyed it. Went up to visit Gina. Eclipse we watched with Randy at his house.

5-29-84

Dear Diary, Hazel called early today to tell me her husband Benjamin had a heart attack Sunday night and was in the Medical Center in Selma. So as soon as we got breakfast Heber and I went to Selma where we have been all day. We saw Hazel and the family. Found out his pain was gone he's still in poor condition along with the heart attack he had a stroke. We visited a friend from Marion who's also in Medical Center. We sure hope Ben recovers.

5-28-84

Dear Diary, We have had a good Memorial Day. It got off to not too good. Satan tried to disrupt the peace for a while but Johnnie and Heber got the dryer working so we were able to get Johnnie, Henry and David's clothes washed and dried so they could go back to Douglasville, Ga to unload their household goods. We have got some things done and were able to relax and rest. We have had lots of rain today. We are so very grateful for our health and everything.
